These are the terms for using AnySkin. Using the app means you accept them.
AnySkin helps you understand what is in skincare and haircare products. It shows an Ingredient Score calculated from our ratings of each ingredient and its position on the label, and a personal verdict based on the profile you fill in.
This is not medical advice. AnySkin does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything. Scores describe formulas, not your skin.
If you have a skin condition, a reaction, or any health concern, see a doctor or a dermatologist. Nothing here replaces that — including anything Ivy says.
Ivy is an AI assistant. It can be wrong, and it will occasionally be confidently wrong. Check anything that matters.
Ingredient ratings are our reading of published safety assessments — an assessment on the basis of sources, not a measurement of the bottle in front of you. Every ingredient page lists the sources it draws on. Science moves, assessments get revised, and reasonable people read the same evidence differently.
Product information comes from public databases or from a photograph of a label, and it can be incomplete or out of date. Every product page says where its ingredient list came from and on what date, and formulas change without the packaging changing. Always read the label on the product you are holding, especially if you have an allergy.
If a list is wrong, the product page has a link to tell us, and we would rather hear it.
There is no account to keep secure, because there is no account. Your profile, history and chats live on your device — which also means keeping a backup is your responsibility, and Profile → Back up & restore is there for it.
AnySkin is a paid app. Access is a AnySkin+ subscription, offered as a weekly plan and a yearly plan. The price of each is shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency, exactly as the App Store reports it — that screen is the price, and no figure written here could be right in every country.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
The subscription renews automatically. Unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, it renews for another period of the same length, and your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. This continues until you cancel.
Cancelling is done through the App Store, not through us, and we cannot do it for you. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → AnySkin → Cancel Subscription. (Or the App Store app → your profile picture → Subscriptions.) You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
There is no free trial, so nothing starts charging you after a period you might forget about.
Switching between the weekly and the yearly plan is handled by the App Store, and it applies the proration rules Apple sets.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription — the subscription belongs to your Apple ID, not to the copy of the app on your phone. Cancel it in Settings as above.
Purchases are managed by Apple, so refunds are Apple’s to give, under their terms, at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084. We have no way to issue one. If something is wrong with the app, write to us and we will try to fix it, but we cannot reverse a charge we never received.
If a subscription lapses, everything on your phone stays on your phone — the profile, the history, the shelf, the routine and the chats are all local, and they are still there if you subscribe again. Backing them up is still worth doing: see Profile → Back up my data.
Scanning and the skin check both cost us money for every use — they run on AI models we pay per call. So use of AnySkin is subject to reasonable limits designed to prevent abuse, and we adjust those limits if someone works around them.
They are set so that ordinary use never meets them. If you do reach one, the app tells you so and roughly how long to wait; nothing is lost, and nothing on your phone is affected.
Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to build a competing database.
We aim to keep the app working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and features may be removed.
To the extent the law allows, AnySkin is provided as-is, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
AnySkin is responsible for the app and for these terms. Questions, corrections and complaints all go to the same place: jetunitbusiness@gmail.com.
